Hero's among us .....

Hero's among us :
------ ----- --------- -------- ----- ------- -------- -------- ----

Although I'm staying in and around, old Airport area,Bengaluru (ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು). Since a long time, could not notice few of them who are contributing to society in their own way.

One such instance is about this uncle and Aunty who are serving food for common man and middle class with best possible way in this expensive society through Nagesh Tiffin centre (ನಾಗೇಶ್ ಟಿಫಿನ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್) ,when most of us are behind money and few are chasing it in all possible ways.

Can you believe they provide 3 Idli's and 1 Vade for 20 Rs, even now...! Almost same price is applicable to Palav  (ಪಲಾವ್) and other items.

I started going their once in a while whenever, we want to bring parcel in emergency or when ever family needs a short break from cooking.

On visiting couple of times just had a casual talk to Uncle and Aunty who are into this Hotel business.Got to know they are serving food since more than 3 decades...! In initial stage they used to run mess and for some time they used to supply food for employees who used to work in and around HAL(and other near by companies) and to those students who used to come from other places and states for studies and other workers.

I have seen and witnessed the taste, price. It's not so easy to believe and digest that, we get food at that reasonable price even today.

Especially during peak hours and Sunday or weekends we need to wait for a long time. I have seen people who are daily wage workers, students of nearby school, middle class men and women and even those  working in reputed companies having food and chatting with their near and dear ones regularly.

Can't miss out to mention one of his is son working in MNC who came from a short business trip of USA in August 2018. I have seen him even he was helping his parents when he is on his weekly off and when there are more customers in their parents Hotel...!

I can mention with great confidence, that , God is still there who is doing good even for those who are serving society in their own way , in a good way.....

Jayaprakash Narayan Park - JP Park

Jayaprakash Narayan Park (ಜಯ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ನಾರಾಯಣ್ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನ ) is popularly known as JP Park, located in Bengaluru, (Karnataka).

Around 3 months ago I got an opportunity to visit JP Park. I spent couple of hours inside the park, viewing various parts of the park. It is one of the well established and nicely maintained  parks even compared to already established Lalbagh and Cubbon parks of our Garden city, Bengaluru. There is no doubt about this...

It was opened in 2006. The park was developed by the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP)  and is the biggest park in Bengaluru after Lalbagh and Cubbon Park.

The park has three grooves called Pavithra Vana, which will have mini grooves called Nakshatra vana, Rashi Vana and Navagraha Vana. Apparently, each star in the zodiac constellation has a particular plant/tree ascribed to it. This park has plants that subscribe to your sun sign.
Jayaprakash Narayan Biodiversity Park is actually located right adjacent to the Yeshwantpur Railway Station. Jayaprakash Narayan Biodiversity Park Promoted as the ‘Lal Bagh’ of the North. This park was conceived and constructed with a lot of elaboration. The authorities seem to have left no stone unturned in adding attractive structures and concepts to it. From pretty Gazebos, to a stone park, bamboo garden to life size dolls of farmers, labourers and cattle, all in keeping with Jaya Prakash Narayan’s ideology. There are three entrances and enough parking space is available outside each of these.

The show up of JP Park is the fresh thought of an acupressure walk region. Walking on this bare-foot for the healing therapy you badly need. Music played mainly along this walk trail to keep the walkers energetic. There is a ‘Honge Garden’ in another corner, which seemed like a tropical forest, with a canopy. It is so dense that hardly any sunlight reaches the ground. In the heart of the park, there is a pond full of Indian Magur fish always fighting for foods thrown by children’s visiting the park. Main attractions in the park are the two water bodies of 15 and nine acres each. The bigger lake has already attracted migratory birds like pond heron, coot hen, little cormorant, moore hen, pelicans etc. You can also find various models of : Dr.Rajkumar on cart, rock garden, playing monkeys, pair of oxen and list goes on........

Timings :

The park timings are 5:00 am to 9:00 am and 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
How to reach :

Jayaprakash Narayan Biodiversity Park is actually located right adjacent to the Yeshwantpura Railway Station.

Or and pass Indian Institute of Science. Turn left onto MS Ramaiah Road towards Jalahalli (Mattikere). Arrive at Mattikere Bus-stop and follow the directions from Mattikere Bus stop below.

From Mattikere Bus stop :
Going towards Gokula / BEL / Jalahalli on MS Ramaiah Road, immediately after passing Mathikere Bus stop, take a left turn onto Mohankumar Road. After around 2 minutes, there is an intersection with a bus stop on the right side of the road. Take a right turn at the intersection onto Srinivas Murthy Road. The Jayaprakash Narayan Park will be on your left.

We can visit the park along with family and friends and spend freely with out any disturbance....

It is a must visit park. So lets get ready to visit whenever we are free for couple of hours...

Madhya Pradesh - A quick visit

Got an opportunity to explore bit of Madhya pradesh in last December 2012.

As I had enough leaves, I was lucky enough to accompany my Dad whose research paper was published in 5th Ayurveda world conference which held in Bhopal.

We left Bengaluru, (Karnataka) by train and reached by Bhopal, capital city of Madhya Pradesh. Attended world conference for couple of days there. Got a chance to meet research scholars from around 40 countries .... UK, US, Europe...along with our own Indian Eminent Physicians in the field of Ayurveda..

Here are couple of photos..

From Bhopal we went to explore and went for sight seeing to near by places : Ujjain , Sanchi , Tropic of cancer , Birla Temple, Bhojpur , Bhojtal  , Manav Sangrahalay and couple of other places. From there we went to Gwalior. Thanks to Sister Nive , we could see known Gwalior fort, Jai Vilas Palace

Private dining hall of scindhias

Known person of world on a carpet. Rare in India

Sun Temple of Madhya pradesh

I found literacy rate found to be low in Madhya pradesh. But got to know Hindi which is spoken here is in top class, in whole India. People are financially not so secured. Good to see western culture has not yet affected Madhya pradesh. When I spoke to one of the tourist/student he was telling me : Madhya pradesh is less explored state in India wherein hardly we get any information about tourist places in web.It found to be true. People are here  simple. Helpful.

Hope to visit Madhya Pradesh again some time. Thank you MP for making me such a memorable trip, returned with sweet memories..: -)

But list never ends.........:
